Milford, DE - Earlier today, Sussex County Councilman Rob Arlett put to rest weeks of public speculation when he made the official announcement of his U.S. Senate candidacy while a guest on the statewide Susan Monday Radio Show on WDEL 1150AM, 101.7FM and Delaware 105.9.
“I want to be Delaware’s next U.S. Senator because it’s time for the next generation to step up and lead with courage,” stated Councilman Arlett. Delaware’s current senator, Tom Carper, has been in public office for 42 years. “Mr. Carper is out of touch with the great people of Delaware and is only focused on partisan politics,” said Arlett.
Councilman Arlett is making this campaign the “people’s campaign” and injecting new, commonsense ideas to help energize the First State’s economy. “With respect to economic growth, Delaware has been sadly lagging behind the rest of the country in full view of the currently elected Democrats representing the First State in Washington, D.C.,” stated Arlett. “Delawareans want their elected officials to do what's best for them and not what's best for Washington on issues such as immigration, gun rights, infrastructure and national defense.”
Like President Trump, Councilman Arlett is a successful Delaware business owner. He promises all Delawareans that when he arrives in Washington, he will use his seasoned business sense to bring Delaware back and you’ll know he is there.
